Day 2-Monday

Our campsite by the dirt road by morning light.

Remember how things being closed was the story of our trip?

Of course, Tyson found a kayak part that could not be missed in Casper, Wyoming

Amri is our water girl. She was begging to go swimming and on the rapids as soon as we arrived. The boys. .  .not so much.

Jacob is always copying Jeffrey now. So cute. Here Jeffrey is throwing rocks in the water. . .and Jacob is throwing them on the rocks in front of him.

Tyson and Amri

Jacob joins the fun, and decides it's not fun for him
(after the first run he started screaming every time he saw the whitewater coming).

Jeffrey finally decided he'd go too.

All three kids and Tyson

Jacob's trying to escape

Still trying to escape

Budding film-maker/photographer

Happy to be out of the water

and eating crackers

Mommy's turn (we only had one adult life jacket with us)

Jeffrey begged to go one last time with Daddy. I was a little surprised.

LOVE THIS PICTURE!

A little scary. . .

but a lot of fun.

Jacob's rock throwing. He finally made some into the water.

Our out-of-the-way picnic area

You can tell they update this board often.

Devil's Tower, Wyoming was our final viewpoint for the day before leaving for
South Dakota and our camping site there. It is a super unusual rock formation.

If Tyson had had one of his brothers with him, this is where they would have rock climbed up to the top.

Our dinner in the parking lot before leaving Devil's Tower

Instant potatoes and canned corn, probably our kids' least favorite meal of the trip.

We made it!

Once again, another campsite closed. We camped just outside of the campground and slept in our warm tent that thankfully kept us dry despite it raining at least half the night!

great pictures! Love them! I have always wanted to see devil's tower. Lucky! The kids reactions to the water were funny. Is Jacob going to be a left hander? thanks for sharing!
